Dr. Louis Lapointe, Chiropractor, studied at the Campus Health and Science at the University of Southern California. He lived in California for several years, during which time he had the opportunity to treat many professional athletes, including players from the Los Angeles Kings. He is a member of the Ordre des chiropraticiens du Québec and the California Board of Chiropractic. In addition to his training in chiropractic, Dr. Lapointe holds a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Sherbrooke. His interest in musculoskeletal injuries dates back to his early days in extreme sports, first here in Quebec in the early 1990s. Attracted by the California lifestyle, he decided to move there. It was there that he constantly pushed the physical limits of his body. Bursting with energy and drawn to adrenaline, California played a significant role in his passion for extreme sports. Nothing stops him, and he tries everything while always striving to surpass himself. Kitesurfing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and adventure racing are just a few of the sports he practices and which have caused him many injuries. Not wanting to give up his favorite activities, Louis Lapointe had to find a solution to his problems… That’s when he turned to chiropractic care.
His experience with chiropractors was so positive, and his injuries healed so quickly, that Louis Lapointe decided to study chiropractic himself so that he too could help people suffering from sports injuries. In 1998, he suffered a lumbar injury while playing hockey. Medical imaging confirmed three herniated discs, so he consulted an orthopedist in California who recommended a disc decompression protocol to avoid surgery. This revolutionary treatment completely relieved his pain. With no physical limitations, he was able to resume his normal and extreme activities as before. Following his impressive results, he decided to make disc decompression his specialty. In 2008, he decided to invest in this cutting-edge technology and founded the Neurovertebral Decompression Institute with the goal of helping, relieving, and offering an alternative solution to patients suffering from chronic pain who had not obtained optimal results from traditional medicine.
